From the Carpet Capital to Your Home
In 1986, William and Roger James packed up their family and made the move from Dalton, Georgia — the carpet capital of the world — to Springfield, Ohio. They brought with them something no other local flooring store had: decades of connections to the manufacturers, mills, and suppliers that make America's flooring. They knew quality. They knew value. And they knew how to pass both on to their customers.
They opened Pricecutter Carpets, and from day one, the mission was simple — bring big-city selection and factory-direct pricing to a community that deserved better options.
Four Decades of Growth
Over four decades, that small carpet store grew into something bigger. Pricecutter Carpets became James Flooring in Springfield and expanded to a second location, Lima Floor Covering, serving families across western Ohio.
Today, the business is owned and operated by Roger's son, Brandon James, carrying on the legacy his father and grandfather built. Along with his wife Ashley and their three children — Tripp, Harvey, and Nat — Brandon is raising the next generation right here in the community his family has served for 40 years.
